Ordering our Freshwater Tropical Fish

Minimum order size is $50. Online ordering DIRECT FROM THE BREEDER TO YOUR FRONT DOOR is available. You can browse categories of items within the Fish Store, or from a search results page. You can select and add quantities of items to your shopping cart directly from these pages. Or, you can view more information about each species by clicking on the item name under each picture or just clicking on the picture. You can view your shopping cart at any time by selecting the Shopping Cart button. You can proceed to checkout at any time by selecting the Checkout button.

Shipping costs

Oddballfish.com makes every effort to keep your shipping cost to a minimum, while at the same time, not compromising with what is necessary to ensure your fish arrive alive and in good condition. We charge a minimum of $20 shipping to nearer locations, $30 to more distant addresses.

You can check actual shipping costs at any time by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping Charges" link in the left column and enter the destination zip code. Shipping charges are based on our estimate of the number of boxes required to ship your order. Small orders will incur the minimum shipping charge even if they fill only a fraction of a box. You may want to "fill" the box or get back to one box. You can still do that at this time simply by going back to the checkout screen and updating quantities or removing entire line items.

Generally, we can safely fit up to about 8 to 12 of our larger fish and up to about 24 of our smaller fish in a medium box. The product page for each item indicates our estimate of the number of fish of that species and size that can fit in a box.

Payment

We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit and debit cards. There is no shipping and handling charge and no sales tax. On the Checkout screen please list your home and delivery address for credit/debit card verification purposes. All of these transactions and accompnying information are processed on a secure screen.

Orders are normally shipped FedEx 2-day, or Fed-Ex Ground, depending on your location, weather, etc. In special situations or on special request we can ship overnight. There may be an added charge for overnight requests. Generally, orders are shipped Wednesday for Friday delivery. Special requests can be made in the comment section at time of checkout.

Orders are double bagged with approximately 1/2 gallon of water and pure oxygen, placed in 1.4 inch thick styrofoam boxes (twice the industry standard), sealed, then placed in corrugated shipping boxes labelled for tropical fish.

In addition, we use FedEx exclusively which is the only carrier that keeps the shipments in climate controlled vehicles and facilites.

However, if certain weather parameters are exceeded we will not ship your order until the weather improves. We will inform you as soon as possible after you place your order, if this applies, and you may cancel your order and we will refund your payment if you wish.
